How AI recommends hotels, city by city
Travelers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity where to stay, and those assistants answer with a short list of hotel names rather than a page of links.

How we measure this
Every guide is based on the same method. We ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity the questions travelers actually ask about a city, through their official APIs with live web access, and we look at which properties are named, how they are described, and which sources get cited. AI answers vary between runs, so we run every prompt multiple times rather than treating a single conversation as the result.
